28.08.03. - UZEMIK displays its articles in the “Fishing Paradise” exhibition

These days in Moscow in the All-Russian Exhibition Center the 14th International exhibition “Fishing and Hunting Paradise” has been held. The exhibition is usually held twice a year and represents various articles for professionals and amateurs of hunting and fishing tourism - fishing and hunting gears, tourism equipments, facilities and nourishment; sports hunting and collectible tools and arms; boats and boat gears and engines; radio navigation devices and facilities. The organizer of the exhibition is Russian exhibition company “Expodesign Ltd.” Over 450 companies has been participating at the exhibition, out of which 160 are Russian manufacturers, and all the rest are the companies from France, Italy, USA, Netherlands etc. UZEMIK plant (Ufa Rubber and Technical Articles Plant) has been amongst the exhibitors as well. Ufa plant offers products made of rubberized fabrics, rubber and polyethylene. Products of the Ufa plant are known and demandable in Russia and abroad. Not only high interest toward the plant booth at the exhibition but also stable demand for the plant goods at the Exhibition Center has proved it. Deputy of the Head of Sales Department Anna Bubelova has explained the phenomenon by the acceptable prices for the goods for the majority of the exhibition visitors as compared to other products manufacturers, whereas the goods high quality has always been the strong point of the manufacturer.

26.08.03. - Ufa Motor Constructing Enterprise Displays At The VI International Aerospace Air Show "Max-2003"

UFA MOTOR CONSTRUCTING ENTERPRISE’ BOOTH HAS HAD THE INCREASED INTEREST OF THE AEROSPACE SHOW “MAX-2003” VISITORS. At the VI International air show "MAX-2003" held in Zhukovsky town near Moscow, UMPO (Ufa Motor Constructing Enterprise) represented its exhibits as a member of the “Suhoi” aircraft building enterprise. Ufa enterprise’ exposition had increased interest of the air show visitors, according to the enterprise specialists worked at the booth. No doubt, the hero of the day was the world first serial thrust driven engine, produced by the Ufa enterprise. The engine operation was demonstrated to President Vladimir Putin. After demonstration flight of SU-37 fighter, which is equipped with the engine, the crowds of people who wanted to see with their own eyes that such a wonder of technology really exists attacked the UMPO booth. Engine AL31-FP received the most enthusiastic opinions of the professionals. Irina Mantsvetova, the Head of the PR department, who represented UMPO at its booth at the Air show, in her article at “Motorstroitel” (“Motor constructor”) newspaper has mentioned the US Air Force representative Mr. Holveger’ words: “I have been visiting air shows regularly, and have always noted the engine that made a breakdown in aircraft building. Hinged nozzle is a unique phenomenon by its own, and it has made double impact in Russian motor constructing giant UMPO own presentation and it notable for being serial device”. And these are the words of Kiril Sorokin, representative of “Saturn” enterprise: “UMPO worker are good at study, and have always implemented their own ideas and works that are new in principles. UMPO was one of the first in the world to master mono crystals blades casting and start producing them in serial. Ufa-made reducer cogwheels are of such top quality that “Saturn” has long been purchased them from the Ufa enterprise. Hinged nozzles engines production can be considered as the crucial stage in Russian aircraft industry. The best in the world SU-25 attack aircraft, as Putin referred it, is also equipped with power-plant produced by UMPO.

25.08.03. - Bashkortostan delegation official visit to Turkey starts

Today Bashkortostan delegation official visit to Turkey has started. According to Bashinform, the delegation's Head is Bashkortostan Prime-Minister of Rafael Baidavletov. In the visit program are scheduled participation in the Izmir International Universal Industrial Fair, meetings with the Turkish government and businessmen and visiting large industrial enterprises of the country. Bashkortostan’s interest towards Turkey is not a chance. Turkey is one of the leading partners in trade and economical contacts and also cultural relations. At present mutually beneficial cooperation between Bashkortostan and Turkey has been established in construction, petrochemistry, woodworking, machine building, agriculture, light and food industries. In 2002 total commodity circulation between the two countries amounted 45 mln US dollars. One of the priority directions of the cooperation now has been state support of entrepreneurs. From this point of view, Turkish experience of establishing entrepreneurs’ centers, developing mechanisms of crediting small-scale businesses are of particular interest for our delegation. At business meetings further plans of the mutual cooperation are to be discussed. For instance, Turkish company “Chukurova” is to participate in the investment project on delivery of equipments for glass plates production. Good perspectives are for Russian garment factories to make orders for Turkish companies, deliveries of JSC “Kauchuk” (“Rubber”)’ products to tyre factories in Turkey, and other projects.

21.08.03. - In the House of Republic Leading Workers Have Been Conferred Decorations

Regular ceremony of rewarding the best representative of different professions has just been held in the House of Republic. Bashkortostan Honorary Deeds or distinguished positions of “Honored worker in his field” in the republic have been conferred upon 66 persons, and Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Transport of Bashkortostan received the position of the Russia’s Honored Builder. Bashkortostan President Murtaza Rakhimov warmly congratulated all the honored, wished them more success, health and happiness. In response he received many thanks for the high appreciation of the labor and was assured in further working well for Russia future prosperity.

19.08.03. - 11 Bashkir Enterprises Participating In The VI International Air Show “Max-2003” Being Held In Zhukovsky

”MAX-2003": IN MOSCOW AIR SHOW IS TO PARTICIPATE THE RECORD NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS. Today in Zhukovsky, Moscow region the IV International Air Show “MAX-2003” has started, in which the newest achievements in the aviation and aerospace technical equipments and facilities is to be presented by nearly 500 enterprises of Russia and CIS countries as well as 165 companies of 38 non-CIS countries. As it was previously reported, in the air show 11 Baskir enterprises have been participating and 8 of these have been had integrated exposition, among them “Gydravlika” enterprise, Ufa instruments production enterprise, Ufa aggregates production enterprise, Salavatsteklo (Salavat’ glass production works), Ufa-based microelectronics plant “Magnetron”, “Bashkir Airlines”, “Motor” scientific and production enterprise, “Molniya” Ufa scientific and production enterprise. Ufa motor-construction works represents its achievements at the “Suhoi” aircraft building enterprise exposition, while Kumertaus aircraft building enterprise - at the “Kamov” enterprise booth. In the section of light aeronautics “Bashaviatech” enterprise has been represented. Bashkortostan exposition general space has totaled 45 sq. M. According to organizers committee, “MAX-2003” differs from Les Bourget air show by its scale. Both in the air and on the ground the record number of the aircrafts (over 200) is to be demonstrated. No doubts, amongst Russian aircrafts the latest models of “SU” including low-flying attack aircraft and fighters will call the outmost interest with the public. At the air show aircrafts of “Yakovlev”. “Illishin”, “Tupolev”, “Antonov” families and also “Be-200” (“Beriev”) aircraft will be available for seeing. Helicopters have been represented by “Mil’” and “Kamov” models that are capable to do the most complicated feats. For the first time in the Moscow air show over 40 foreign aircrafts have been displayed: piloting aircrafts “Patrule de France” from France, “Frecce Tricolori” from Italy and US Air Force fighters. At the show and in Zhukovsky town unprecedented safety measures have been taken. According to news agencies reports, over 5000 policemen and military servicemen have been drawn. Till August 22d the show is available for the professionals of aerospace industry and representatives of the interested organizations, while visitors are allowed on August 22 through 24. In comparison with the last Moscow air show “MAX-2001” the number of participant has increased nearly 20 per cent, and 70 companies has taken part for the first time. It proves increasing prestige of Russian air shows and reinforcing our country position at the world aerospace industry.

12.08.2003. - Republic Fair “Summer-Autumn-2003” Starts In Ufa

Today in the “Neftianik” Culture House wholesaling and retailing fair “Summer-Autumn-2003” organized by “Tovary Bashkortostana” Ltd. (“The Bashkortostan goods”) has started. Here have been displayed mainly the goods for schoolchildren made by republic-based light industry enterprises: cloths, shoes, stationeries, leather fancy goods, socks and stockings as well as consuming goods for home, families, rest and hobbies, and tourism. At the fair people of almost every age can purchase goods to their liking. Dressings for girls and boys at the acceptable prices have been offered by “Bashkortostan” Shopping Center, Sterlitamaksk-based “Odezhda” (“Clothing”) factory, Salavatsk-based “Sodis” factory, Naberezhnyie Chelny-based “Liusta” factory, and variety of shirts made by Birsk factory. Large variety of shoes has been represented by Sterlitamak shoe factory, shoes and sandals for the juniors - by Davlekanovsk shoe factory. “Bashtorgodezhda” company has joined these to display shoes, coats, sports wear and knitted wear made by Novosibirsk-based “Vestfalika” company. Women will certainly get interested in new fashionable demi-season coats made of modern practical fabrics by “Permodezhda” cloths factory, suits and blouses made by Ufa-based tailor’s “Passita”, sheepskin coats made by “Runo” company, which are no worse then those made abroad. Blankets, pillows, linen kits have been displayed by “Druzhba” factory, Ufa-based “Forte-L”cotton enterprise and private entrepreneurs. There have also been offered knitted wear by Ulianovsk factory, “Sharkantrikotazh” (Udmurty), “Sarmattex” company (Rostov oblast), whose representatives have come to the fair. Wide choice of purses, pouches, handbags and school knapsacks have been displayed by Ufa leather and fancy goods factory. Not only light industry companies that have had expositions at the fair, but also UZEMIK and “Italbashkeramika” (ceramics production) from Oktiabr’skiy have been participating there. At the fair there has been held a promotion campaign for pure, ecologically safety water with high content of natural fluorine “Golden spring” from Arkhangelsk region in Bashkortostan. The water is bottled into ordinary 1.5-litres bottles and 3-letters packs made of food film. Water tasting has been encouraged. Moreover, there has been planed school uniform demonstration at the fair and lottery for its participants that is valid till August 15th.

11.08.03. - In Bashkortostan Bank Loans Increased

According to the Bashkortostan National Bank data, within six months of 2003 loan liabilities of Bashkir enterprises and companies to credit foundations rose 32.9 per cent to total 50.8 bln rubles as compared to 38.2 bln rubles. In July 1, 2003 in the structure of loan liabilities 80.1 per cent makes loans to economy. Despite their growth 28.8 per cent within the last six months, total loan liabilities decreased 2.5 per cent. It rises from increase in loans to discounted bills from 6.1 to 11.9 per cent of the total liabilities amount. Amongst the loans to economy the largest figures make short-term loans (till one year) totaling 81.5 per cent, and 16.9 per cent makes long-term loans (over 1 year), while all the rest - 1.6 per cent are overdue loans. At that, debtors of short-terms loans are mainly juridical persons - 96.3 per cent of the total loans amounts, while debtors of the long-terms loans are constituted by nearly equal parts of private and juridical persons. Enterprises and organizations use 57.3 per cent of total loans. It is probably caused by the growth of number of individual entrepreneurs borrowing bank loans resources. Industrial sector has been granted 16.2 bln rubles, including loans with the period of their clearness till one year - 15.2 bln rubles or 93.8 per cent. Within the six months short-terms loans to juridical persons rose 28.8 per cent, and to private persons - 46.2 per cent, while long-term loans to juridical person rose 7.2 per cent, and private persons - 64.5 per cent.

4.08.03. - Bashkortostan To Take Part In The International Izmir Fair

In August 26 through 29, 2003 Bashkortostan official delegation will visit Turkey to take part in the International Izmir Fair. Such decision was made back in the beginning of 2003. Under the Government decree in the beginning of the year organizers committee was approved, and Depury Prime-Minister and Bashkortostan Minister of Industry Sergey Yefremof is to head it. Organizers committee constituted by representatives of the state authorities, public organizations and enterprises heads has been conducted great preparation work for Bashkortostan participating at the fair. A list of the participants has been drawn up and it includes the largest oil refineries, petrochemistry and chemistry enterprises, machine building and instrument-making industries. Concept of the exposition has been elaborated, and it will allow participants and visitors to get acquainted not only with industrial, but also social and economical potential of Bashkortostan. Bashkortostan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trades has been preparing special magazine in Russian, English and Turkish, featuring Bashkortostan international humanitarian cooperation and foreign economical contacts. It will also highlight Baskir enterprises-exporters. Bashkortostan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been issuing promotional catalog, from which potential foreign partners can have got a lot of useful information about Bashkir participants in the Fair. Bashkortostan delegation will disclose to Turkish companies and many fair visitors main social and economical figures and indexes of Bashkortostan development and make presentation of Bashkir industrial complex. Under the official visit meetings and negotiations with Turkish state authorities and businessmen will be held. According to the Bashkortostan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trades press service, Izmir Fair is fairly considered to be one of the largest in the world - this year over 1,000 companies all from over the world will participate in it. Participation of Bashkortostan in the authoritative fair will allow necessary preconditions for its cooperation in many fields of activities and it will also turn into substantial impulse to further development of the mutually beneficial foreign economical contacts.

01.08.03. - Vice-head of “Gazprom” Alexander Ryazanov discussed plans of development of Bashkirian petrochemistry in Ufa

Delegation of public corporation “Gazprom” headed by the vice-head Alexander Ryazanov, arrived in Bashkiria on Thursday to discuss further steps of fulfillment of Cooperation Agreement, which had been signed on July 19. According to “Rosbalt”'s announcement from the press-cutting service of the republic, among other members of the delegation were vide-head of Gas Concern’s Regional Department Gennadi Koshel, head of Department of Processing of Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons Sergey Alexeev, director general of "Orenburggazprom Ltd." Sergey Ivanov. During the meeting at Ufa airport Alexander Ryazanov has noticed that the delegation had been up to “more detailed discussion of further development plans of Public Corporation “Salavatnefteorgsintez” and other processing plants of the republic”. The meeting went on in the presence of the president of Bashkiria Murtaza Rakhimov and heads of other petrochemical plants of the republic. The Agreement states that “Gazprom” will provide natural gas supply to region’s consumers taking into account the capacities of Uniform Gas-supply System (UGS). The Government of Bashkiria in its turn will have to assist “Gazprom” in solving matters concerning assignation of confiding management of Public Corporation “Gazprom” subsidiaries - Public Corporation “Salavatnefteorgsintez”, Close Corporation “Kauchuk”, Close Corporation “Kaustik”, Public Corporation “Gaz-Servis”, which are the property of Bashkirian Republic. after Rosbalt.
